Parliament was notified on February 2, 2022, that 51 projects have been granted under the Trade Infrastructure for Export Scheme (TIES) as the end of January, with 13 of them now finished. The government will undertake this programme with the goal of aiding state and central bodies in the development of necessary facilities to support trade flows.
Financial support in the nature of grant-in-aid is granted to government entities for the establishment or renovation of export facilities, according to the program.
“The scheme has been further extended for the period 2021-22 to 2025-26 with a total outlay of Rs 360 crore. A total of 51 projects having grant components of about Rs 548 crore have been sanctioned under TIES till the end of January 2022," said Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal in a reply to the Lok Sabha.
Som Parkash, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, stated that the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade began the work of building the site as a national single window system (NSWS). In his words, "Currently, IT portals of 19 ministries/ departments and 13 states' single-window systems have been linked with the NSWS portal."
NSWS was soft-launched in September 2021, with the purpose of serving as a one-stop destination for all approvals and services in the nation.
Corporate affairs, forestry, and environmental protection, labour and employment, food and public administration, consumer affairs, healthcare and family welfare, trade, telecommunication, and information and broadcasting are among the departments linked to the site.
Goa, Gujarat, Punjab, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu are among the 13 states included.
