About Soyuz Founded in 2013 by American musician David Arthur brown and Russian entrepreneur Pavel Bazdyrev, Soyuz has a rich history that we would like to share. Microphones are made manually in our own production by the labor of professional workers. Thanks to this, we create unique microphones that have their own personality, while having the same "classic" sound that is so appreciated by sound engineers and performers. Here at Soyuz, we strive to create a "modern classic". Base The production workshop of the Soyuz company, known as the "base", would have looked appropriate in the 1960s. It is very similar to the first microphone manufacturing companies of the time: vintage lathes and drilling machines, white coats and analog devices. Everything from making parts and setting up caps to winding transformers is done the same way as it was done 60 years ago at companies like Neumann and AKG. Production technologies of that time helped to create a sound that was unattainable in modern, automated production. Just as the best violins are created by hand, so a good microphone requires human input. Almost 100% of production is concentrated here: Assembly of caps and power supplies, winding of transformers-all this is done by us.
