Brown Sugar

Brown sugar or palm sugar contains less glucose and a lower glycemic index than table sugar or honey. This helps to stabilize blood sugar levels better than other sweeteners so your energy levels don't spike and crash — and reduces strain on your heart. In terms of taste, palm sugar is not as sweet as white granulated sugar in general. This is because white sugar contains 100 percent sugar, while palm sugar is only 78 percent and the rest consists of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber.
