A device called a laryngoscope is used during a diagnostic laryngoscopy to allow your surgeon to view your larynx (voice box). A laryngoscope is a tube with a camera at the end that your surgeon will use to acquire a clear image of your larynx. To aid in the vision of the trachea during intubation, the laryngoscope is a device.
