Coconut husk is used to make cocopeat, a versatile growth medium. The fibrous coconut husk is made clean by pre-washing, machine drying, sieving, and removing additional contaminants including animal and plant remains. The typical peat moss and rock wool can both be replaced with cocopeat. It is the perfect growing medium for plant crops due to its great water-holding capacity and air-filled porosity. It is completely natural, eco-friendly, and weed- and pathogen-free. For the cultivation of exotic plants like ferns, bromeliads, orchids, anthuriums, and others, coco peat is frequently employed.
