Football uniform

Football players use a helmet, facemask, jersey, pants, and padded shirt to protect their sternum, shoulders, and ribs as part of their uniform. A lot of them choose to wear fitting, tight shirts underneath their jerseys. Girdles that give them padding on their hips, thighs, and buttocks are worn underneath their outfits as well. Even if players' names are unknown, these uniforms help to give each one of them a distinct identity. Not just the athletes, who may recognize certain aspects of themselves in their position, may find this to be quite important. A team's morale and players' motivation are greatly increased by having a dedicated fan base.
