How does the CAS identity on a DAP Fertilizer listing affect the safety data sheet format?

The CAS identity determines the specific hazard class and handling instructions required on the safety data sheet. If the listing does not state the exact CAS number, the safety data sheet may not match the UN number required for shipping. Buyers must ensure the CAS identity on the listing matches the chemical composition declared for export clearance.

What impurity profile details must be confirmed for MAP Fertilizer before ordering?

The impurity profile defines the presence of heavy metals and insoluble matter which affects suitability for specific crops. A technical grade listing may allow higher impurity levels than a food grade designation requires. Buyers must compare the impurity limits on THIS product's trade sheet against their own regulatory thresholds before placing an order.

Why does the UN number change for Ethiopia Agriculture Fertilizers & Pesticides shipments?

The UN number depends on the specific chemical classification and packing group assigned to the formulation. Solid fertilizers like DAP have different UN numbers than liquid pesticide formulations. The seller must declare the correct UN number to ensure the dangerous goods declaration matches the physical cargo for vessel acceptance.

How does REACH registration impact the clearance of Ethiopia Agriculture exports?

REACH registration or equivalent local registration proves the chemical has been assessed for environmental and health risks. Without this registration, the shipment may be rejected at the destination port regardless of other documents. Buyers must verify that the seller holds valid registration for the specific grade being shipped.

What is the difference in packing between drum and ISO tank for these goods?

Drum packing suits smaller quantities but incurs higher handling costs per ton. ISO tank containers are used for liquid pesticides and allow for bulk loading and unloading. The choice between drum, IBC or ISO tank directly affects the freight cost and the vessel type that can accept the booking.

How does feedstock price affect the validity of a quote for MAP Fertilizer?

The price of phosphate and ammonia feedstocks shifts daily, causing the baseline cost of MAP Fertilizer to change. A quote that does not account for current feedstock levels may be invalid upon shipment. Buyers should treat any price offer as tentative until the feedstock index is confirmed for the booking date.

What happens if the packing group does not match the hazard class?

A mismatch between the packing group and hazard class will cause the dangerous goods declaration to be rejected by the carrier. This error prevents the vessel from accepting the booking even if the cargo is physically safe. The seller must ensure the packing group accurately reflects the stability and reactivity of the specific grade.
