Antigen Rapid Test

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has authorized a novel diagnostic method called the rapid antigen test for the quick identification of the virus that causes COVID-19 in patients. Rapid antigen tests are more accurate when administered to individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, particularly within the first week of sickness. Even those with negative tests can still be contaminated. With symptoms of respiratory infections or recent contact with proven positive cases, this assay is designed to be used for screening patients with suspected COVID-19 Ag infection. The rapid test provides results more quickly, frequently in under 15 minutes.
