Question 1

How do I distinguish between a raw crop listing and a finished food item like Gran pizza?

Accepted Answer

Gran pizza is a prepared consumer good, not a raw agricultural commodity. It falls under processed foods rather than primary production. If you need raw dough or flour, look for Agriculture Products or Food Processing branches. A listing titled Gran pizza implies a ready-to-eat product. Check the sub-category carefully. Raw crops are listed under Agriculture Products. Processed items often appear in broader categories. Verify the ingredient list and packaging type. Finished goods have different shelf-life and storage requirements than bulk crops.

Question 2

What specification defines the grade for organic surface-active agents versus standard chemicals?

Accepted Answer

Organic surface-active agents require specific purity and composition details. Standard chemicals may list only generic names. Look for the active ingredient percentage and molecular structure. Organic certification documents are separate from chemical safety sheets. The listing must state the concentration and solvent base. Without this, the chemical may not meet your formulation needs. Check for REACH compliance if exporting to Europe. The grade determines industrial usability. Generic listings often omit these critical details.

Question 3

Why does a Tap listing appear in an Agriculture category?

Accepted Answer

Taps are plumbing fixtures, not agricultural inputs. They may appear due to incorrect seller filing. Irrigation systems use taps, but the fixture itself is hardware. Check the Agriculture Machinery & Equipment branch for related tools. A Tap listing likely belongs in Home Improvement or Industrial Supplies. Do not expect agricultural specifications for plumbing parts. Verify the seller's actual inventory. This misclassification creates confusion for buyers seeking crops or machinery. Ignore listings that clearly mismatch the sub-category intent.

Question 4

What paperwork is required for live plants from Italy?

Accepted Answer

Live plants require phytosanitary certificates from Italian plant health authorities. These documents prove the plants are free from pests and diseases. Destination countries often have specific import permits for botanicals. The certificate must match the species and quantity listed. Without it, the shipment will be held at customs. Check your local agricultural regulations before ordering. The seller must provide the original certificate. Digital copies are often insufficient for entry. Plan for inspection delays upon arrival.

Question 5

How does CE marking affect Agriculture Machinery & Equipment purchases?

Accepted Answer

CE marking confirms machinery meets European safety and environmental standards. Without it, the equipment cannot be legally sold in the EU. Check the declaration of conformity for voltage and emission specs. Italian machinery often requires specific noise and vibration ratings. Verify the mark is valid for your country of use. Missing certification leads to customs rejection or safety hazards. The seller must provide technical documentation. This applies to all powered agricultural equipment.

Question 6

What is the main risk when buying AgroCommodities without sub-category details?

Accepted Answer

AgroCommodities is a vague term covering many distinct products. It could mean grains, oils, or livestock byproducts. Without a specific sub-category, you cannot verify quality or origin. The listing may lack moisture content or protein levels. This ambiguity makes comparison impossible. Always open the specific branch for clearer specs. Generic titles often hide significant product differences. Request a detailed specification sheet before inquiring. Assume the listing is incomplete until proven otherwise.

Question 7

How do I verify if a seller is a producer or trader?

Accepted Answer

Producers own the land or facility where goods are grown or made. Traders buy and resell goods from various sources. Ask for proof of production capacity or warehouse location. Traders may list multiple unrelated items in their inventory. Producers usually specialize in one crop or product line. Check the company profile for facility details. Direct communication can reveal their role in the supply chain. This distinction affects pricing and supply consistency. Traders add a margin but may offer better logistics.
