How does basis weight affect the stiffness of Jumbo Paper Rolls?

Basis weight is the mass of one square metre of paper, measured in grams per square metre. A higher basis weight increases the stiffness and opacity of the roll, which is critical for structural integrity in packaging applications. Buyers must verify this figure against their machine settings, as mills may produce the same diameter roll with different grammage, altering the total yield per unit.

What moisture percentage is safe for storage in Cyprus?

Paper absorbs ambient humidity, which causes the fibres to expand and the roll to swell. Storage areas must maintain a relative humidity level that keeps the paper moisture content stable, typically between five and eight percent. If the humidity fluctuates, the paper may become too soft for high speed printing or too brittle for folding operations.

Does recycled content require a special declaration for EU entry?

Yes, if the paper is classified as recovered fibre rather than virgin pulp, customs may require a specific declaration of the recycled content percentage. This is distinct from general material safety forms and addresses environmental regulations rather than chemical safety. The seller must provide documentation proving the fibre source, as mislabeling can lead to delays at the border.

Why do retail seasons impact Damo Toilet Rolls supply?

Retail seasons create sudden demand spikes for hygiene products, causing local mills to allocate production to domestic distributors first. This reduces the immediate availability of export stock, forcing buyers to wait for production cycles to reset. A quote issued during these peak periods may be valid for only a few days before inventory is committed to other buyers.

How does palletizing affect the freight cost of POS Paper Rolls?

Freight charges are calculated on the space the pallets occupy rather than their actual mass. Efficient palletizing minimizes the empty air between rolls, reducing the volumetric weight and lowering the overall shipping cost. Buyers should ask the supplier for the exact pallet dimensions and load configuration to calculate the true landed cost accurately.

What finish options exist for Recycled Paper listed here?

Finish refers to the surface texture, such as smooth, embossed, or uncoated, which affects printability and tactile feel. Recycled paper often has a slightly rougher finish due to the fibre structure, which may require different ink settings for printing. Buyers must specify the desired finish to ensure the paper matches their branding and functional requirements.

How is Masking Paper packaged to prevent moisture damage?

Masking Paper is typically wrapped in moisture-resistant polyethylene or waxed paper to protect the adhesive layer and the paper fibres. The outer carton must be sealed tightly to prevent humidity ingress during transit. Buyers should verify that the packaging is intact upon arrival, as any breach can compromise the adhesive performance and the paper's dimensional stability.
