The USR-TCP232-419 is a DTR/DSR serial-to-Ethernet converter that supports RS232 (with TX/RX, CTS/RTS, DTR/DSR) and RS485 (A/B/G) interfaces. Built on a TI Cortex-M4 platform with an integrated TCP/IP stack, it provides Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP bidirectional gateway and Modbus polling, along with work modes including TCP server, TCP client, UDP server, UDP client and HTTPD client. The unit features a built-in web server with web-socket and web-to-serial functions, virtual serial port software (USR-VCOM), and operates from -40 °C to 85 °C on a 5–36 V DC terminal supply. Protection includes 2 kV ESD and surge protection, and certifications listed are CE, FCC, RoHS and WEEE.

Configuration is via built-in or customizable webpage with a reload button for factory reset. The manufacturer states that all products undergo R&D and production testing including ESD, surge/EFT, high/low temperature, EMC and LVD environment tests.
