The USR-TCP232-410S is a dual serial RS232/RS485 to Ethernet converter based on a TI Cortex-M4 solution with an integrated TCP/IP protocol stack. It provides two independent serial ports that can each send data to two target servers, supports Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP gateway and Modbus polling, and offers work modes including TCP server, TCP client, UDP, UDP server and HTTPD client. Configuration is done through a built-in web server with web-socket and web-to-serial functions, and a virtual serial port driver (USR-VCOM) is supplied. The unit operates from -40 °C to 85 °C, includes a hardware watchdog, and features 2 kV electromagnetic isolation on the RJ45 port with a built-in isolation transformer.
Serial parameters cover 600 bps to 230.4 kbps with none, odd, even, mark and space parity, and flow control via CTS/RTS or XON/XOFF. The device supports DNS, DHCP, keepalive, account/password protection, and network firmware upgrades. The MAC address is globally unique from IEEE and user-definable.
