Petroleum coke is a valuable and important commercial commodity that is directly utilized in a variety of applications, such as the production of aluminum, fuels, and a wide range of other goods, such as steel, glass, paint, and fertilizers. Despite costing more per ton than coal, petcoke burns with a higher level of energy. PJSC LUKOIL manufactures coke at the following refineries: OOO LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka, ООО LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez and S.C. PETROTEL-LUKOIL S.A. (Romania). The products of LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka are represented by electrode calcined coke, grade KEP-2, and electrode aggregate coke for the aluminum industry, grade KZ. LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez manufactures electrode coke for the aluminum industry, grades KES and KEM. The products are manufactured under the Quality Management System certified for compliance with ISO 9001. S.C. PETROTEL-LUKOIL S.A. manufactures Green petroleum coke Quality I.
