Bos Filtercake

We can provide 5,000.00 Ton of BOS FILTERCAKE generated during the basic oxygen steelmaking (BOS) process. In the BOS, oxygen is blown at supersonic velocities to decarburize the steel. This blowing results in significant amounts of gas and dust being generated. The dust, is made up of steel and slag droplets, as well as flux fines and contains valuable elements such as iron and calcium. The material contains 71.2 % Fe and 3.8% CaO. BOS dust is removed using a wet scrubbing process, resulting in a slurry that is usually dewatered to produce a low moisture filter cake. The current moisture level is around 12%. The material can be turned over to exploit the self-sintering behaviour to enhance its recyclability and improve the filter cake handling/transport properties. Its normal bulk density of the material is 1.653 t/m3. The material will be provide loose and loaded in Bulk Vessel and can be recycled via ore sintering. Please note that the product is classified as hazardous and requires TFS (Trans Frontier Shipment) documentation in order to travel.
