How does the presence of the stone in dried apricots affect my processing costs?

Unpitted dried apricots require your facility to remove the stones before they can be used in confectionery or baking. This adds labor and machinery costs to your operation. Pitted apricots are ready for direct use but carry a premium price. You must calculate the yield loss from the stones to determine the true cost per kilogram of usable fruit. The listing title indicates whether the product is pitted or unpitted.

What separates the walnut listings from the fruit listings in this category?

Walnuts are classified under agricultural produce but have different storage requirements than dried fruits. They contain oil that can turn rancid if exposed to heat or light. Dried apricots are preserved by dehydration and require moisture control. Buyers must check the packing material for walnuts to ensure it blocks light. The category filter separates these distinct handling needs.

Why do two rows for pitted apricots have different prices?

Price differences usually reflect the grade of the fruit size and color. One row may list larger, redder fruits that fetch a higher market rate. Another may contain smaller or lighter pieces. The listing title often hints at the grade, but buyers should request specific size metrics. Moisture content also varies, affecting weight and preservation.

What paperwork does Tajikistan provide for agricultural exports?

Exporters from this origin provide phytosanitary certificates confirming the goods are free from pests and diseases. This document is mandatory for entry into most markets. Buyers must verify that the certificate matches the batch number and weight on the commercial invoice. The certificate is issued by the national plant protection organization.

How does the mountainous terrain impact delivery timelines?

Goods travel over high-altitude passes that can close during winter snow. Transit times are longer than sea freight to nearby ports. Buyers must plan inventory buffers for these seasonal delays. Road conditions affect vehicle speed and potential for damage. The landed cost includes insurance for these longer transit routes.

What is the main risk with organic dried apricots from this source?

Organic certification requires strict separation from conventional crops during processing and transport. Buyers must verify the organic certificate is valid for the destination market. Cross-contamination risks exist if the same facilities handle non-organic goods. The listing title mentions organic status, but the certificate is the legal proof. Inspectors check for residue levels upon arrival.

How should I specify the walnut condition for yellow butterfly variety?

The yellow butterfly variety refers to a specific nut shape and shell thickness. Buyers should specify whether they want whole halves or pieces. Moisture content is critical for preventing mold in the oil-rich nuts. Request a sample to verify the color and texture match your requirement. The listing title confirms the variety but not the quality grade.
