How do I decide between Processed Food and Alcoholic Beverages for a spirit product?

Choose Alcoholic Beverages if the item contains ethanol and requires excise tracking. Processed Food is for non-alcoholic shelf-stable goods. The distinction matters because Alcoholic Beverages listings often include proof or ABV details, while Processed Food focuses on ingredient composition and shelf life.

What goes wrong if I source Livestock & Animal Products under Processed Food?

You will miss the veterinary certification requirements that define the grade. Livestock & Animal Products require specific health declarations for fresh or frozen protein. Processed Food listings lack these veterinary filters, leading to quotes that cannot clear customs for raw animal goods.

Why is sub-category selection critical for Tobacco & Related Products versus Alcoholic Beverages?

Tobacco & Related Products handle regulated nicotine items with different tax and age restrictions. Alcoholic Beverages focus on excise and distillation standards. Selecting the wrong branch means you miss the specific regulatory details buyers expect, such as nicotine strength or alcohol proof.

What specification is critical for manuka honey that a broad listing leaves out?

Look for the MGO or UMF rating, which defines the potency. A broad Food & Beverages listing often omits this grade. Buyers need the specific rating to compare potency and price accurately, as these standards dictate the market value for this product.

How does packing differ for Milk Powder versus Honey Clover Creamed?

Milk Powder requires vacuum-sealed or nitrogen-flushed packaging to prevent oxidation. Honey Clover Creamed is typically jarred or tubed for retail. The packing method affects logistics and shelf life, so you must check the branch-specific details to ensure compatibility with your storage.

What documentation does New Zealand issue for Livestock & Animal Products exports?

New Zealand issues veterinary health certificates for animal products. These documents prove the goods meet destination health standards. Without this certification, the shipment cannot clear customs. Always verify the branch lists these certificates before requesting a quote for raw protein.

Why can't I compare a herb oil listing with a honey listing directly?

Herb Bright Face Oil Licorice & Kakadu Plum falls under Processed Food or cosmetics, while manuka honey has specific medicinal ratings. The grading systems and regulatory requirements differ entirely. You must compare items within the same branch to ensure the specs are relevant.
