Products Description
Metallized BOPP film (VMBOPP) is produced by vacuum depositing a micro-thin layer of aluminium onto corona treated BOPP base film. The metal layer raises the barrier against water vapour, oxygen and light to a level close to aluminium foil, while keeping the low density, flexibility and cost advantage of polypropylene. Asia Pacific supplies metallized BOPP in 12 to 30 micron, with optical density and metal adhesion controlled for consistent silver appearance and minimal pinholes. Both untreated and printable versions are available; the printable grade accepts reverse printing and lamination without loss of metallic lustre. Applications: high barrier snack and biscuit packaging, coffee and tea pouches, candy twist wrap, decorative gift wrap and metallized labels, thermal insulation facing, and inner liners for cartons where light protection is required. Handling note: metallized film should be stored below 30 degrees Celsius and away from direct sunlight to preserve the metal layer.
