Products Description
Metallized BOPET film is produced by vacuum deposition of aluminium onto ultra-thin polyester base film. At 4.5 micron the combination of high tensile strength and a very thin metal layer delivers high barrier and electrical performance at minimal weight. Asia Pacific supplies metallized BOPET from 3.8 to 12 micron, with optical density and sheet resistance controlled to customer specification. The metal layer shows strong adhesion to the polyester surface, resisting delamination during slitting, winding and downstream converting. Applications: metallized film capacitors where the aluminium layer acts as the electrode; high barrier food and pharmaceutical packaging laminates; decorative and holographic packaging; thermal insulation and reflective facing; and electromagnetic shielding. Because the base is only 4.5 micron, roll handling and tension control matter. We supply the film on 3 inch cores with edge protection and desiccant, and can provide slit widths matched to your metallizer or capacitor winding line. Surface resistance and optical density data are reported per batch, and sample rolls are available for qualification before volume supply.
