Agrotech-Agropars has long been Iran's most important annual agricultural machinery show, held in Shiraz, the capital of Fars province, in the "Fars International Exhibition Center." In the areas of farm machinery, inputs (fertilisers, herbicides, and seeds), and irrigation, companies displayed the latest breakthroughs and technologies. Shiraz is the economic and cultural heart of Iran's most important agricultural area, nestled at the foot of the Zagros Mountains. The modern exhibition centre has a covered exhibition space of 20,000 square metres and a 3000 square metre outdoor area. At Agrotech-Agropars, 85 multinational firms, principally from Germany, France, Turkey, China, and Italy, participated. The national pavilions of Germany, Spain, Turkey, and Italy were all present.
