How do I know if the sulphur is granules or lumps before paying?

The listing title often mentions the form, but the technical data sheet confirms the particle or lump size distribution. You must ask for the sieve analysis or mesh size to ensure it matches your furnace or storage requirements. Do not assume the form based on the product name alone.

What does the chemical assay actually prove for this ore?

The chemical assay proves the percentage of the valuable element in the raw material. It determines the payable grade and the processing cost for the refinery. You must compare the assay report against the contract specification to ensure the metal content meets your threshold.

Why is the mineral export licence critical for UAE shipments?

The mineral export licence authorizes the removal of the raw material from the country. Customs will not release the cargo without this document from the relevant authority. You must verify the licence covers the specific ore type and quantity before confirming the order.

How does moisture content affect the payable weight?

Moisture content reduces the dry weight of the lot, which is the basis for payment. You must check the moisture limit in the assay report to calculate the dry tonnage. Excess moisture can also cause caking in containers or affect the chemical reaction in the smelter.

What is the costliest wrong assumption for a first-time buyer?

Assuming the quoted price includes all handling and insurance costs is the most expensive mistake. Landed cost shifts with the stowage factor and density, which determine if you pay for weight or volume. You must calculate the final cost based on the specific packing method.

What documentation proves the Foundry Coke meets foundry specs?

A mill test certificate or laboratory analysis report proves the ash and silica content. These impurities affect the quality of the cast iron in your furnace. You must request the recent test results to ensure the coke meets your specific grade requirements.

What should I establish before paying a deposit?

You must establish the validity period of the price quote and the index date. Since quotes ride an index, the price may change by the time you pay. Confirm the shipping terms and the required radiation screening data to avoid delays at destination.
