How does ash or silica content affect the payable weight in Indonesia?

Ash or silica content represents inert material that adds weight but no value to the ore. Buyers pay for the pure elemental content, so high ash levels reduce the net payable weight. The seller must declare this percentage clearly, as it directly lowers the effective price per tonne of usable material. Always calculate the deduction based on the agreed assay terms in the contract.

What radiation screening data must accompany a Kaolin shipment?

Kaolin often contains natural radioactive elements that trigger strict screening at destination ports. The seller must provide gamma spectrometry data proving the activity concentration is below the regulatory limit. Without this specific radiation screening report, the cargo will likely be rejected or face costly decontamination procedures. Ensure the data matches the specific batch being shipped.

Why is the mineral export licence critical for Zirconium orders?

The mineral export licence is the primary document allowing the cargo to legally leave Indonesian ports. Without it, the shipment cannot be cleared by customs, leading to detention fees or confiscation. The buyer should verify the licence number matches the bill of lading before releasing any funds. This licence confirms the seller has met all domestic regulatory obligations for extraction and export.

How does the stowage factor change container selection for Barite Ore?

Barite Ore is very dense, meaning it reaches the container weight limit long before the box is full. This high stowage factor makes standard containers inefficient for volume-heavy loads. Buyers often need to arrange break-bulk shipping or use specialized heavy-cargo containers to accommodate the weight without violating transport regulations. Check the density against the container's maximum payload.

What difference separates two Fluorspar listings with the same assay?

Two Fluorspar listings may share the same chemical assay but differ in particle or lump size distribution. One may be coarse lump suitable for metallurgy, while the other is fine powder for chemical processing. The size distribution dictates the processing method and equipment required at the destination. Always request the sieve analysis results to ensure the physical form matches your operational needs.

What does the mill test certificate prove for Mica sheets?

The mill test certificate confirms the physical dimensions and dielectric properties of the Mica sheets match the order. It verifies that the sheets have not been damaged during handling and meet the specified thickness tolerances. Buyers should cross-reference the certificate details with the actual samples received. This document is the primary proof that the material performs as expected in electrical applications.

How does moisture content impact the landed cost of Desiccated Coconut?

While Desiccated Coconut is a food product, moisture content determines the dry weight basis for pricing. High moisture increases the total weight but not the usable solid content, effectively raising the cost per unit of product. Buyers must verify the moisture percentage to calculate the true value of the dry matter. Ensure the seller provides a recent moisture analysis before finalizing the quote.
