How does the sulfur limit in Automotive Gas Oil change the grade I should request?

The sulfur limit dictates whether the fuel meets standard engine specifications or requires specialized handling. Buyers must check the exact percentage stated on the row against their engine requirements. A lower sulfur limit usually commands a higher price but ensures compliance with stricter emission standards in the destination market.

What specific test report proves Petroleum Coke quality before I pay?

You need the specific test report that details the sulfur content and ash levels for that batch. These values vary significantly between shipments and directly affect the usable grade. Request the latest laboratory analysis from the seller to verify the product matches the specifications listed on the row.

Does the incoterm affect who pays for trucking from the Egyptian port?

Yes, the incoterm determines exactly who bears the cost of inland haulage from the port of exit. If the quote is FOB, you pay for the trucking from the port to your warehouse. If it is CIF, the seller covers transport to your destination port, but you still handle inland delivery.

Why do two Coke listings look identical but have different minimums?

The minimum order quantity is tied to the specific packing method and unit of sale defined by the seller. One listing might offer bagged Coke with a lower minimum, while another offers bulk with a much higher threshold. These logistical constraints shape the pricing and availability for each row.

What destination document is critical for clearing Automotive Gas Oil?

The destination country requires specific import licenses and safety data sheets for liquid fuels. You must confirm these documents with your local customs broker before the shipment arrives. Missing paperwork causes immediate delays and potential storage fees at the port of entry.

How does the posting date of a Petroleum Coke row impact my quote?

The posting date signals how current the seller's inventory and pricing are. A row posted weeks ago may no longer reflect available stock or current market rates. Always treat older rows as tentative until you receive a confirmed, fresh quotation from the seller.

What happens if the incoterm is not aligned with my logistics plan?

Misaligned incoterms create unexpected costs for inland transport and insurance. If you expect CIF but the seller quotes FOB, you must arrange and pay for all subsequent transport. Clear agreement on the incoterm prevents surprise charges and ensures the landed cost calculation remains accurate.
