How do I tell if I need the Metal & Metal Products branch or Ores and Minerals?

Look at the form of the material. If it has been rolled, extruded, or cut into a specific shape like a Profiling Sheet, it belongs in Metal & Metal Products. If it is in its raw extracted state, such as concentrate or rough ore, it goes under Ores and Minerals. The branch determines whether you ask for dimensional tolerances or chemical assay percentages.

What happens if I source a mineral concentrate under Metal & Metal Products?

You will likely receive fabricated items that do not match your chemical requirements. The two branches use different inspection standards and documentation. A fabricated metal product does not come with an assay certificate. You will end up with the wrong material and have to renegotiate or reject the shipment entirely.

What is specific about exporting ores from Azerbaijan compared to fabricated metals?

Ores require assay certificates to prove the metal content for customs and valuation. Fabricated metals rely on commercial invoices and packing lists. The paperwork chain for ores is stricter because the value is tied to the chemical composition. You must ensure the seller provides the correct assay documentation before payment.

Why does a listing for EPS Block scrap confuse the trade?

EPS is a polymer, not a metal or mineral. A listing for EPS Block scrap under this category indicates a filing error. You might waste time contacting sellers who do not handle actual metals. Always check the sub-category to ensure the material matches your sourcing needs for actual minerals or metals.

How does the inspection differ for Karvan-L Filler versus raw ore?

Karvan-L Filler is a processed material that requires physical property checks rather than chemical assay. Raw ore needs laboratory testing to determine metal content. The inspection protocol for the filler focuses on consistency and particle size. The ore inspection focuses on purity and grade. You must adjust your quality control plan accordingly.

What goes wrong if I ignore the alloy data for Enamel Rainbow products?

Enamel Rainbow implies a specific coating or composition that affects corrosion resistance. Without the alloy data, you cannot verify if the product meets your durability requirements. The coating may fail under certain environmental conditions. You must request the technical specification sheet to confirm the material's performance characteristics before ordering.

How do I verify the grade of PS blocks in this category?

PS blocks are plastic, not metal. If listed here, they are misfiled. You should ignore them for mineral sourcing. If you are sourcing actual metals, look for the specific alloy grade in the listing details. Generic names like PS blocks do not provide the chemical data needed for metal procurement.
