White beeswax is obtained by bleaching the yellow beeswax with oxidizing agents, e.g. hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric acid, or sunlight. C.A.S. number: 8006-40-4 2. DESCRIPTION : White or yellowish white solid (thin layers are translucent) having a faint and characteristic odour of honey. 3. FUNCTIONAL USES: A pure white to ivory coloured beeswax manufactured specially for industrial, candle-making and non- pharmaceutical application. 4: CHARICTERISTICS Solubility: Insoluble in water; sparingly soluble in alcohol; very soluble in ether Congealing point : 61- 65ípC Acid Value: 17-24 (mg KOH/g) Easter Value: 70-80 (mg KOH/g) Saponification Value: 87-104 (mg KOH/g) Lead: Not more than 2 mg/Kg. 25KG/BAG.
