Vanilla Planifolia

Vanilla Planifolia is similar to Madagascan Variety has a rich fruity flavour and aroma. All of our Gourmet Vanilla Beans are sourced from the Sepik Region of Papua New Guinea which is renown for producing some of the worlds best vanilla. They are organically grown by small holder farmers who get above market rates for their vanilla. Our Gourmet Planifolia Vanilla beans are 18cm- 20cm in length with minimum 25-30% moisture content. They are black in colour with a high vanillin content perfect for baking. Our Vanilla Beans are Organically certified to USD/EU and AUS standards. All of our vanilla beans are traditionally cured to develop the full, complex vanilla flavour made up of over 200 organic compounds which artificial vanilla cannot properly replicate.
