In the domestic market, 75% of PTA is used in the production of polyester fiber; 20% is used in the production of bottle grade polyester, mainly used in the packaging of various drinks, especially carbonated drinks; 5% is used in film grade polyester, mainly used in packaging materials, films and tapes. It can be seen that the downstream extension product of PTA is mainly polyester fiber. Application: PTA is mostly used in the production of polyethylene terephthalate (polyester). It is an important raw material for polyester fibers, films, plastic products, insulating paints and plasticizers. It is also used in dyes and other products' production.
