SGP Glass

REXI SGP glass is a kind of laminated glass. After special pre-pressing (or vacuuming) and high-temperature and high-pressure processing, the glass and film are permanently bonding together as one of the composite glass products. The film of SGP glass is SentryGlas®Plus film (SGP film), so SGP glass can be called SGP laminated glass or SentryGlas/Structrual Glass. Common laminated glass interlayer films are: PVB, SGP, EVA, PU and so on. There are also some more special films, such as color interlayer film, SGX type printed interlayer film, XIR type LOW-E interlayer film and so on. Among them PVB film is the most widely used. But SGP film has its own advantage and has been more and more popular in recent years. Many China SGP glass factory like REXI GLASS has focused on this newly developed technology.SGP film is DuPont SentryGlas®Plus (SGP) interlayer film which is DuPont's newly developed product, a revolutionary glass laminate interlayer film. SGP goes far beyond the existing technology and greatly expands the performance of laminated glass. The tear strength of SGP is 5 times of normal PVB, rigidity of SGP is 100 times of ordinary PVB. So SGP glass has high strength, high clarity, durability, variety of construction and flexible installation, which make China SGP glass suppliers easily adaptable to the latest and most stringent requirements in today's construction market. SGP glass can improve the performance of bullet-proof glass and reduce the thickness to a certain extent, which is especially beneficial to point-supported glass. And certainly SGP glass price is higher than PVB laminated glass.SGP glass greatly improves the impact resistance, anti-theft and anti-riot performance of safety glass as well as its resistance to disasters. To keep the glass more intact in the frame, we can use SGP glass because it is harder and more robust. It is also suitable for ceiling glazing because it has more demanding strength and deflection in service and post-crash safety. When the temperature of the SGP glass increases, it has a more stable, longer service life, with excellent weatherability and edge stability, SGP glass does not have the side defects which might be appeared to traditional PVB laminated glass sometimes.Although most of laminated glass interlayer is PVB, more and more China SGP glass manufacture has turn to SGP due to its extraordinary performance and broader application prospects. We can predict that the market prospects and applications of SGP glass will be more extensive in future.
