Lugiol's Solution (1%-10%)

PHARMACOLOGICAL (BIOLOGICAL) PROPERTIES Pharmacotherapeutic group: antiseptic for external use. Alcohol iodine solution 5% has an antimicrobial, irritating, distracting effect, accelerates wound healing. When applied to the skin, active iodine is slowly and evenly released from the drug, which oxidizes amino acids of enzymes and transmembrane proteins of pathogenic microorganisms. INDICATIONS Prescribed as an antiseptic, hemostatic agent; for treating the surgical field, surgical sutures, sites for parenteral administration of medicinal substances (injections) and the surgeon’s fingers; for the primary treatment of fresh wounds, for the treatment of infected wounds, for injuries, abrasions, cuts, furunculosis, abscesses and fistulas; as a distracting and irritating agent for chronic inflammation of joints, tendons, muscles.
