What is Lithium Ore? Lithium is a chemical element with symbol Li and atomic number 3. It is a soft, silvery-white alkali metal. It occurs as colorless to yellowish, purplish, or lilac kunzite (see below), yellowish-green or emerald-green hiddenite, prismatic crystals, often of great size. 4). Petalite: Petalite, also known as castorite, is a lithium aluminium tectosilicate mineral LiAlSi4O10, crystallizing in the monoclinic system. Petalite is a member of the feldspathoid group.
