Liposuction Cannulas

Liposuction is a type of cosmetic surgery that dissects and "sucks" fat from the body. It is also known as lipoplasty, liposculpture suction, lipectomy, or lipo. It is frequently used on the back, neck, chin, upper arms, thighs, buttocks, and calves. A hollow device called a cannula is used to extract the fat. This is placed beneath the skin. On the cannula, a strong, high-pressure vacuum is applied. Liposuction cannulas having an inner diameter (ID) of less than or equal to 2.2 mm—the ID of a 12-gauge hypodermic needle—are referred to as microcannulas. Standard, completely tempered, stainless-steel hypodermic needle tubing is used to make microcannulas. Instead of promoting physical health, liposuction is primarily done to enhance attractiveness. Liposuction is typically only recommended if other modifications to one's lifestyle have failed to provide the desired outcomes. It is effective in treating fat deposits that defy diet and exercise. Each fat cell gets bigger and takes up more space when a person puts on weight. Fat cells in particular regions are removed during liposuction. Infiltration cannulas are made to administer tumescent solution securely.
