Principal Design Features C-276 is a wrought corrosion-resistant alloy. A prime advantage of this alloy is that it generally does not require solution heat treatment after welding. It resists the formation of grain boundary precipitates that would degrade corrosion resistance. Types HASTELLOY C276 HASTELLOY C-276 alloy is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium wrought alloy that is generally considered a versatile corrosion-resistance alloy. HASTELLOY C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments, including strong oxidizers such as ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated media (organic and inorganic), chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine solutions. It is used in flue gas desulfurization systems because of its excellent resistance to sulfur compounds and chloride ions encounted in most scrubbers. HASTELLOY C22 The C-22 alloy exhibits superior weldability and is used as overalloy filler wire and weld overlay consumables to improve resistance to corrosion C-22 alloy has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments including strong oxidizers such as ferric and cupric chlorides, chlorine, hot contaminated solutions (organic and inorganic), formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine solutions HASTELLOY C2000 The technical objective during the design of HASTELLOY C-2000 alloy* was even greater versatility, as compared with the traditional Ni-Cr-Mo alloys. This was accomplished by use of a high chromium content (23 wt.%), a high molybdenum content (16 wt.%), and a small but effective addition of copper (1.6 wt.%)
