Products Description
CPP (cast polypropylene) film is produced by extruding molten polypropylene onto a chilled casting roller rather than stretching it. The result is a soft, heat-sealable film with excellent optical clarity, good puncture resistance and a lower stiffness than BOPP, which makes it the standard sealing layer in flexible packaging laminates. Asia Pacific supplies general packaging grade and retort grade CPP in 20 to 80 micron, width 350-1600 mm. Retort grade is formulated to withstand steam sterilisation at 121 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes without delamination, whitening or loss of seal strength, making it suitable for ready-to-eat meals and retort pouches. Applications: sealing layer in BOPP/CPP and BOPET/CPP laminates for snack and confectionery, retort pouches for prepared food, vacuum bags for meat and cheese, textile and garment packaging, and general purpose bag making. Both plain and slip-modified surfaces are available, and the film can be supplied corona treated for printing or lamination. Heat seal strength, hot tack and coefficient of friction can be tuned to your packing line speed. TDS and food contact documentation are provided with each shipment.
