Yamaichi Metal Co., Ltd. is a leading aluminum recycling company based in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. With over 60 years of experience, we specialize in the recycling of aluminum materials, aiming to contribute to a sustainable and circular economy. Core Businesses Aluminum Can Recycling: We process approximately 3.5 billion used beverage cans annually, transforming them into high-quality aluminum pellets. These pellets are supplied to rolling manufacturers to produce new aluminum products. Aluminum Laminate Foil Recycling: We recycle about 700 tons of aluminum laminate foil scraps per month, which are generated during the manufacturing of products like yogurt lids. This recycling process was once considered challenging globally, but we have developed proprietary technologies to make it feasible. Aluminum Cap Recycling: Leveraging our accumulated expertise, we also focus on recycling aluminum caps, contributing to environmental conservation and resource reutilization. Sustainability Initiatives High-Efficiency Recycling: Our proprietary methods enable us to recycle 99.9% of collected aluminum scrap as valuable material, achieving near-zero waste during the recycling process. Strategic Partnerships: In March 2023, we entered into a joint venture with UACJ Corporation to establish a new company focused on processing used beverage cans (UBCs). This collaboration aims to enhance horizontal recycling processes and promote sustainable practices within the industry. Community Engagement: We actively participate in local initiatives, such as donating aluminum-bottled emergency water to local schools and organizing presentation contests for high school students to support their aspirations.
