The granular activated carbon is described as coconut shell based, 12 x 30 mesh size, acid washed, with low ash content and pH neutral, conforming to ANSI/NSF Standard 61 and ANSI/AWWA B604-05. Extruded activated carbon is offered in cylindrical forms with diameters from 0.8 to 130 mm, including CTO filter types for chlorine, taste and odor removal, and steam activated grades for gas mask applications.
