Krisa Coir

Krisa Coir is based in India and lists two product lines on Global Trade Plaza: Cocopeat Blocks and semi-husked coconuts. The cocopeat is washed, dried and compressed into 5 kg blocks that expand to 75–80 litres when rehydrated with about 25 litres of water. The semi-husked coconuts, also called brown coconuts, weigh 200–800 g each and have a shelf life of 50–70 days when stored away from direct sunlight. Each coconut is packed in a PP bag with 25 nuts per bag (13–14 kg per bag). A 40 ft container holds 2,000–2,100 bags and a 20 ft container holds 950–1,000 bags.
