The arecanut palm leaf plates and cups are made from the sheath of the areca catechu Linn palm tree. They are produced using a hydraulic mechanical press with heated metal moulds and are available in shapes such as round, oval, square, rectangle, hexagonal and heart, with thicknesses of 2-4 mm, depths of 20-35 mm and sizes ranging from 100 mm to 300 mm. Specific listed sizes include 18 cm rectangle, 20 cm round, 24 cm square, 25 cm hexagonal, 25 cm rectangle plate, 25 cm round plate, 13 cm heart, 13 cm dip bowl, 16 cm rectangle, 17 cm square, 18 cm round bowl and 24 cm square.
