The coco peat blocks are offered in a low EC grade. Coco pith blocks come as 5 kg compressed blocks in low EC and high EC types, brown colour, with dimensions and quality as per buyer requirement, packed on pallets for 20- or 40-foot container loads from Tamil Nadu. Coir fiber is extracted from the fibrous outer cover of the coconut palm fruit, with or without retting, and graded by extraction nature, colour, fibre length and impurities. Coir yarn is generally 2-ply, spun from coir fibre by hand, traditional ratts or fully automatic spinning machines. Coir geo textiles are supplied as woven and non-woven erosion control blankets, described as totally biodegradable for soil stabilisation and vegetation renewal on slopes.
